Vlad Sepetov is a graphic designer, photographer, videographer, artist and all round music nut, and is currently based out of Seattle / LA.
Vlad previously worked as head designer for the incredible Yours Truly collective crew, and now works freelance, producing artwork for the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Vic Mensa, Freddie Gibbs, Schoolboy Q and J. Cole.
B+ (aka Brian Cross) was born and raised in Limerick, Ireland. He attended the National College of Art and Design in Dublin graduating in 1989 with a degree in painting. In 1990 he came to Los Angeles to study photography at the California Institute of the Arts. While at Cal Arts he began work on a project entitled, Its Not about a Salary: Rap Race and Resistance in Los Angeles which was subsequently published by Verso Books in 1993. It was nominated as a Rolling Stone Music Book of the Year and made the NME critics best music book of the year list.
Stephen Serrato lives and works in Los Angeles, California. He began his independent graphic design practice after receiving a BFA from the ArtCenter College of Design, Pasadena in 2005. From the fall of 2008 to Summer 2010, Serrato was a participant in the post graduate program, Werkplaats Typografie in Arnhem, the Netherlands where he earned his MFA. His work has been exhibited internationally and most recently included in the “Work from California” exhibition curated by Jon Sueda at the 25th International Biennial of Graphic Design, Brno, Czech Republic. His studio works across various media but specializes in design for art and cultural institutions and independent record labels. Clients include: Amsterdam School of the Arts, Bing, Circular Facts, de Appel Arts Center, Kunstverein Publishers, Kindred Spirits Records, Mochilla, Naked Faces Films, Netherlands Architecture Institute and Publishers (NAI), Poo-Bah Records, Stedelijk Museum, Stonesthrow Records, UCSD Art Gallery, and Warp Records among others.
Cecilia Martinez aka Teti, is the creative/art director working as the in house designer at UK imprint Lobster Theremin Records.
L.A. born artist Eric Coleman began taking pictures at the age of twelve. His youthful hobby led to a career as a professional photographer in which, over a 10-year period, Coleman has grown to be an innovator with a unique style of photography. Coleman deepened his appreciation and enthusiasm for photography while attending The Royal College of Art in London. There he was able to cultivate his distinctive style of visual communication while honing his craft with top level professionals.
Paul Diddy, (aka pau pahana) is an artist and musician based in Berlin. He is the Art Director of NYC’s Luaka Bop, and has created iconic album covers for William Onyeabor, Javelin, Kings Go Forth, Doug Hream Blunt, Delicate Steve and more.
Errol F. Richardson designs album art for Now-Again Records, a Los Angeles music label. He has worked on cover art for The JBs, J Dilla, Kenny Dope and Richard Marks.
Nick Gazin is Vice's NYC based art editor and illustrator best known for his incredible work on the Run The Jewels project.
Marcus Lambkin is better known by the pseudonym Shit Robot, and is an Irish electronic musician and DJ and part time doodler for his own record artwork and the DFA crew.
Lemi Ghariokwu is also known simply as Lemi, is a Nigerian artist, illustrator and designer who is most renowned for providing many of the original cover images for the recordings of Nigerian musician Fela Kuti, also working with Gilles Peterson, Bob Marley and Lucky Dube among others.
Mike Zimmerman is a New York based artist and designer at Beggars Group (Matador, 4ad, Rough Trade, XL, Young Turks) where he's worked for notable artists such as Shamir, Kim Gordon, Yo La Tengo, Ceremony, Fucked Up, Kurt Vile, Car Seat Headrest, and Delicate Steve.
Donal heads up Practice & Theory, a Dublin based graphic design studio. Working across a broad spectrum of work in music, arts & advertising, he has designed sleeves and live visuals for Onra, New Jackson, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Knxwledge, The Egyptian Lover and recently produced live visuals on the Madlib Carnival tour of Europe.
Born in 1946 in Yorkshire, England, James Marsh is a U.K.-based artist, designer, illustrator and writer who has worked in all aspects of the world of visual fine arts, with clients in advertising, publishing and other media. After moving to London in 1965 and graduating two years later with a National Diploma in Design, he started his music graphics-related career at Pie Records, moving soon after to Decca Records and then to join with artist Alan Aldridge (when forming “Ink Studios”) that led him to his most high-profile projects at that time, including their acclaimed book “The Beatles Illustrated Lyrics”, published in 1969, and Andy Warhol’s “Chelsea Girls” posters.
Jonny Costello is an art director, designer and illustrator working predominately in the music and youth entertainment.
Jonny has worked with artists such as One Direction, Everything Everything, Jessie J, Perc, Truss, Einsturzende Nebauten, Bruce Springsteen, Jamiroquai, Angel, Dappy, Example, Avicii, Pink, Scouting for Girls, Taio Cruz, Forward Strategy Group, Laura Marling, Tinchy Stryder, MPIA3 & Laura Mvula.
Florida-born, Philly-based visual artist Dewey Saunders works with collage, illustration, and computer-based graphic design, and is best known for his incredible cover art work for Anderson Paak's 'Malibu'.
London-based designer and illustrator Lewis Heriz is responsible for some of the most colourful and vibrant album artwork in recent memory.
Heriz has worked with Soundway Records, Strut Records, Now-Again/Stones Throw, and Sofrito on covers for the likes of Quantic, Seu Jorge, Batida, Konkoma, and Ibibio Sound Machine.
Our Fantasy 12 competition winner Dan Kenny is a multidisciplinary artist from Dublin, who's work ranges from fine art to animation. Having spent the last few years working in the graphic design industry he has recently been focusing more on photography with an emphasis on music and live performance.
